Ok. I sold an 1968 classic chevrolet truck on ebay for my decease great grandfather. Auction ended june 26th. Buyer had 48 hours to submit $200.00 by Paypal the remaining balance will need given once pickup truck from me with money order or cashier check or cash. I even said the truck was **as is sale** please come by and see truck before purchasing/bidding on it. PLAIN AND SIMPLE.
Ok. i didn't have problem with Paypal deposit. I got that. Ok. Ebay buyer calls me and tells me that he was picking up truck july 3rd. Ok. I wasn't there to meet him I had to work that morning. My uncle was there and Ebay Buyer told my uncle the truck had items on it he didn't like, for instance nick nack (as I explained in my description). Buyer also state the truck didn't have any oil in the oil pan and he wants to know if he could get his $200.00 back and he would come back and purchase that afternoon after i get off work (because i had the title and keys on me). That being said. I call the buyer and see what the deal is after i got off work. I even specify time to meet him after work to my uncle house. I waited, waited, waited until it got dark from 2:30pm to 9:30pm. Ebay never came or answer my phone or emails. So, what should I do? Do i give him his money back? If so, what about my ebay fees i paid in the amount of $125.00 and some to Ebay and Paypal. Will I be recovering my money. Or once i file an upaid strike against him on after July 6th. Will I get my fees i paid back or who gets what?
The buyer had 10 days after june 26th to submit payment in full. July 6th is the last day. I will file an unpaid strike on the $611.00. But, what should I do? Who is being fair here? If i choose to sell it to the second offer on ebay will i still have to pay fees on that as well, ($125.00), again?
PLEASE HELP!!!*Ebay buyer never answer any of my calls or emails.

My sister-in-law rented the home I own. Now she is about to move out. My husband is about to lose his job. We will not be able to afford to make the house payment and pay rent in the larger home. Moving back to the smaller home is not an option. We can not afford to make improvements to the home to sell it. I'd like to consider a short sale but I'm not sure how to go about it. We are current on the mortgage right now but once my husband loses his job we probably won't be able to afford the house payment. We like not to rent it out again either and just be able to get rid of it.

He's somewhat soft spoken with an intellectualist bent, glossing over any snafus the President or V.P. may have made, or any unpopularily coming from an incredible stream of bad decisions and slimey political rail-roading with no opposition in an Democrat-dominated House and Senate. But we see Press Secretary Gibbs very frequently in the news since Obama loves the limelight and wants to be on T.V. every day if he can swing it. So Gibbs as the Spin Guy is out there, and I'm just curious what you think about his demeanor in answering the Press's questions
Recently, Helen Thomas, senior member of the White House Press Corp following every president since John F. Kennedy, criticized the White House for controlling the "Town Hall Meetings" with people invited to ask specific questions that would make the President look good. It's like stocking the fish pond or putting shills in your audience as the huckster sell his snake oil or magic elixir that the shill swears to the audience, cured all that ailed him. Gibbs would not answer Thomas's tough challenge on this Obama White House practice of stacking the deck, telling her to "just wait" until after the next Town Hall meeting, which to me almost sounds like another set-up has been planned to put someone with a supposedly "tough question" in the audience Obama will be prepared to answer so he can claim that he does answer tought questions (but still comes out smelling like a rose).
Compared to past White House Press Secretaries, do like Gibbs more, less, or about the same? Is he really slick? Maybe TOO slick?

I need some ways to make money, I really want to buy some things, and I don't want to use my parents. I want to start using my own money.
I'm already going to sell some stuff on Ebay in July, which will get me about $500 - $650, but are there anything else I can do? I'm getting $5 a week from allowance, and I'm cleaning my whole house for $20 every 2-3 months. Is there anything else I can do? No, not lemon aid stands (I'm really shy lol, don't like to much interaction with people, and I need things my parents would allow me to do, not like baby-sitting and cleaning others houses). Sorry for breaking it down so much, just trying to find some kind of ideas. I would work at a shelter or pet store but I'm to young :O being young sucks sometimes *sigh*. I friend of mine is totally dependent on her dad.
He pays her a small salary despite not working from his business and has repeatedly told her she would be "set for life" when he died.
But, she is lacking on the details.
The man is 68. a raging alcoholic. Married to someone for 6.5 years.
Her brother runs the business. Her dad draws a salary despite never working.
He owns his house which is maybe worth $150k and some land beside it that he is asking $2 million for but the county values them both for tax purposes for about $360k.
Also a relative thinks the land will NEVER sell for 2 million.
My understanding is a spouse gets everything when someone dies.
But, he apparently has a will. Can a will favor a son and daughter at the expense of the spouse ?
He has told he she will get his salary when he dies, for 10 years. That they couldn't make it go any longer. The problem with that is her brother will get the business and he wont be happy to pay her $60k per year for 10 years for doing nothing when its his business. That's even assuming they CAN.
She really doesn't have a penny to her name, barely pays her $550 house note each month. Her dad could die soon and she doesn't have a dime to hire a lawyer to protect her interests. Her step mom and her brother do.
Id appreciate any light anyone can shed on the above matters.

My aunt is both executor and trustee of my grandfather's estate. With Power of Attorney she sold my grandfather's house two months before he died at 102. The will (which I just got a copy of from Probate) says the house, contents, and interest were to go to my mother. My aunt is still holding the mortgage 12 years later and has paid some money on a monthly basis for a portion of the sale to my mother with checks from her personal account, not from the estates/trust account. Obviously, I've discovered the will was not followed. What can/should be done. This is in New Jersey.

I am currently a sophomore in college and am looking to get a dog the summer before my senior year. I have had dogs all my life just not while living by myself. I have a boyfriend who will have graduated by then and will have a job in the area and I am going to have a light schedule my senior year. I plan to get a puppy, and yes i know what it takes to train one from the very beginning (long hours and lots of patience).
Also my dad is planning to buy a house in the area where i go to school so me and my boyfriend can live together and then he will fix it up and sell it when we move out.
My parents will also be able to help with any routine expenses we have a hard time covering, or any emergency vet bills...
I am also very athletic and will have plenty of time to go to the dog park and go jogging.
I am not into partying like a typical college student and neither is my boyfriend so between the two of us someone will usually always be home...
Also I am super into dog training and dog behavior and will also be working at a pet shop though i will be unemployed for the puppies first month or two... This way when i do get a part time summer job I can bring my dog to work most days which will be a great way to socialize.
I am going to be taking summer classes this year and next year so that the summer I get my puppy I can put all my focus on him and then the following year i will only maybe have four easy classes a semester.
I am a business major and I plan on maybe opening my own pet store one day while offering training and agility classes to other dog owners.

We offered $47,000 above list price for a house sold as a shortsale. Instead a cashoffer came in just above listprice and the sale was done in 3 days through a trust deed, and the new buyer will flip it and put it on the market immmediately after the sale for a $40,000 profit. Great deal for the invester/flipper. But why isn't the bank interested in getting the highest offer and pocketing the $40,000 'profit' on their already huge loss themselves?

My husband and I recently separated (2 weeks ago after being married for only 10 months). Long story short, he messed up and I refuse to forgive him so I told him that I want a divorce. We decided that he would move out and live with his parents while I stay in our home (we just purchased our house at the end of March). We agreed that he would pay half of the mortgage, however he has since decided to be stubborn and refuses to pay his half even though he makes $1000 more per month than me. I cannot afford the house on my own and I don't want to sell it so I would like to rent out 2 rooms. Can I legally do this without telling him? Also, if he is not paying his half of the mortgage, does he have any right to access the house? I want to change the locks ASAP.
PS We do not have any children and I would love to get a lawyer but I'm up to my eyeballs in debt and that's not an option at this point.I forgot to mention that I live in CA.

I have put in an offer and had it accepted, just under the asking price on a house which sadly is a repossession. It is not in a great state-appliances having been ripped out etc, scuff marks but nothing that can't be fixed and the house is just the thing to at last get me on the ladder.. The seller/management company have reduced the price on the property once already-they have yet had no other offers on it.
The estate agent i am dealing with wants to keeps things 'in house', by using their services for conveyancing and mortgages.I am a single woman who is a first time buyer and i had a good deal with my bank on a mortgage but the agent has alluded to the fact that i may stand a better chance of avoiding more offers on the property if i use their mortgage service.The mortgage deal the estate agent offered isn't bad(more expensive though) but i wondered if this is normal practice?
I have said i would not use in house solicitors which was seen as ok but they did recommend a local solicitor.
I am not well off, and although i know this is a risk i am still willing to walk away if higher offers (ie, over asking price), come in at the last minute.
i know the bank/management company want the money so need to sell and ensure that the sale will go through in 28days, but does anything here sound odd?

I knew a girl from high school. She was Indian. Both her parents were doctors and practically owned a neighborhood, they had one of the bigger houses in the area, and had to let everyone know. She had this "Tracey Flick" vibe about her, you know, from that movie "Election." Her smiles were always fake, and she'd do anything to get what she wanted. She wasn't a bad person, but she was shameless in how she pursued her goals.
Her parents actually sold their big house, gave up their practices to move to Boston. I joked that her dad probably wanted to get her into Harvard.
So anyways, I have her as a friend on Facebook. I find out the witch graduated from medical school in Boston. Ok, I said, that's great, she got in on her own merit, so on and so forth, I'm happy for her.
I click through the pictures...what do I find? Her mother is also wearing a gown that belongs to the school! They were so shameless, that her mother got a job at the university just so she could get her daughter into their med school!
I knew people at the school I was at that never even made it to the secondary stages of the application process! They spent thousands of dollars and were confounded. Then the kids who had connections to a certain medical school through their parents got rejected by every school they applied to, EXCEPT for the ones their parents graduated from!
I don't know, that's just disgusting and wrong to me. The system is corrupt. Some people are pathetic.

I found a house at 825 Community Ave. in the county that the owner was selling themself. We both (seller/buyer) signed the purchase agreement. I decided to have an inspection done at my own expense. The seller reassured me that the house was in great condition. The inspection showed something different. The majority of the floor is rotton, an A/C duct was apart, some duct needed to be reinsulted, and the pressure release valve to the hotwater heater was piped underneath the house. The pipe to the valve should have been ran to the outside. The owner didn't want to fix those major repairs. Maybe some try to get by with a house that need major repairs. ALWAYS GET A HOUSE INSPECTED. IF NOT, YOU MAY GET A RAW DEAL!

My dad has written in his will that my brother and I both will have 50/50 ownership over his house when he dies. He is alive yet in the hospital dying so my dad gave us the house 50/50 now, but he gave full power of attorney over the house and his bills etc. (without my permission) to my brother only. Leaving me with only the will saying that 50% of the house belongs to me so my brother can call all the shots on what happens to the house including selling the house which he is in the midst of doing.

my husband is about to buy a house in CA,( we r German citizens) but without his or my name on it saying that in case we die then the US Government will take 60% of the house from our kids because we r foreigneirs,basically our kids have to sell the house to pay to Government, IS that true? or he's just avoiding putting it also on my name because we have pre-nup?

well i knew this day would come ever since i found out my mom was cheating on my dad..my dad didnt know and i still havent told him and dont think i will till his heartache is a little calmed.well like my mom blames my dad the reason she is never home cus he made us kinda poor. but i still have verything i need / wanteed. its just my moms lame ass excuse for being away and not coming hoome 3-4 times a week .. she always said she was at her friends but really she was at a guys house named james(read emails.texts.so on) well after bout 1 year and a half my dad completely broke down and hes so heart broken but he still has his faith and hope.He wants me too live with him and i want to live with him. but my dad doesnt have much money but someday he mite if his invention / boat sells. thats wats been making us poor but i know god will pull through maybehh before everything crashes but it wont! anyways my moms got quite a bit of money will the court make me stay with her even if i really dont want to,,also i have a twin whos on the same page as me and an 8 yr old brother who my parents both love veryyyy much and i dont want to lose him and im afraid he mite have t live with my mom<maybe joint custody idk but i really dont like my mom and im sorry its soo long but just had to get it all out =)ps.. both of my parents dont know i know any of this!

we are going to buy a house that needs some work. walls put up, new carpet, siding,and possible roof repair. not to mention it has no appliances. we are receiving a 8000 tax credit towards the down payment, but we really need a grant or even a loan to fix up the house. as of right now it is not live-able and is sold as is. i have looked for grant websites but cant seem to find anything for anybody under 62. has anyone ever done this? and what website did you find?

Okay, so some background info.
I grew up with a happy family, until last year, mid 8th grade. My dad died. I then realized that not only had my mom married him for the money he brought (he was a busness negotiator for Mbna/Boa), she had no education. She flunked high school and is currently flunking community college. She has terrible integrity (She makes me do things even when I try and teach her simple things) and dated her statistics teacher so he would help her on homework!
She's trying to get into nursing school now. She's making my sister write her speeches and apply for her jobs (my sis is a senior) and she makes me do anything that involves tech or dirty work.
She's trying to make me get her admin privledges on her lappy that dad owned, without administrative access or a CD drive. This has been virtually impossible and I would be better off installing it on the moon.
She's so rude and arrogant! We live in Plano, and she complains about me visiting friends (Claiming they arn't in the golden rectangle) yet she can't afford a house in the rectangle even with selling our big house now!). She never says please, and outright refuses to learn! I don't want to boast, but I'm a huge nerd and extrapolate alot. Since I explain things in complex form, she gets pissed and is like "Just do it for me!"
Worst, she threatens to remove my computer when I don't comply. I need this! I have a constant urge to learn, to look up, to study... It's overwhelming! I need this for my academics!!!
I will be a freshman next year, and I do not want her bugging me through high school! I already have AP classes to worry about! We need to get her independent this summer!

I have been with my boyfriend soon to be husband for 2½ years. We will be getting married! I usually get along with his mom who sometimes makes a comment I tend to get over in a timely fashion. He has an older sister and brother. After they would say something hurtful he would tell me to let it go. This happened so many times and I did let it go. Soon enough though I broke and could not hold it in anymore. See my boyfriend and I have an agreement in our home. I hate dishes he hates diapers so the other one does the job of the thing they don't hate doing. This seems to bother his sister so much she makes a comment that makes me so mad that I blew up at her in front of some very important people(that are not in our family.) On top of this she has made a rude comment or more then one to me every time the family gets together. I have always let it go in the past. She also thinks she is a doctor and tries to tell me how to raise my kids and what is ailing them. She took a head band off of my only daughter after three boys. Just because she said it looked too tight. That is my kid I will deal with worrying about what is going to hurt her. I asked the real doctors already prior to this if that would hurt her they said absolutely not. Well now my boyfriend is finally standing up for me and she is having a cow. She keeps saying he is welcome where ever and I am not oh and the kids can come too. Now she is saying for the second time in a month that He is now disowned. His brother has always thought that my boyfriend was just with me because he did not want to be alone, Therefor has treated me like I am just going to be another girl and in a sense has kinda been mean to me, also he says that while I was pregnant with my boyfriends first child And his wife had a miscarriage "ha ha I am pregnant and your not". I would never say anything like that to anyone ever but they say i did and also say I apologize for it. Which I didn't cause I never said it. My boyfriend is now mad at both his brother and sister not to mention his friend whom he also defended before a comment he made which sounded like it was toward me and my boyfriend. I told everyone on face-book how much I loved my boyfriend and everyone took it as a threat. Then he told everyone how much he loved me and they all thought I wrote it. Which i received an email from his brother saying I wrote it and that pissed my boyfriend off at his brother. I have never seen that much anger from my boyfriend His brother also noted they would be there for my boyfriend and kids (but not for me) if they ever needed them. And not forgiving me also pisses my boyfriend off. Now his mom is trying to resolve everything by trying to find a counselor, Her husbands Idea, For the hole family to get together and fix the problem......Note my boyfriend is the baby, but they all needed him to tell them that he is now my "baby" (not child) Which he is. But now I am so angry at all of them except currently his mom and dad, that I want to move to another state, sell my house take my kids and boyfriend and be so far away that if we get invited to anything we wont be close enough to show up. I don't know how to except them even if they apologize for fear that it will just happen again. I just want to stay away from them......I love my boyfriend SO much and him standing up for me finally shows me how much he really does love me.
