moreResolved Question: Question About Making An Offer For A Property?
This will probably sound like a dumb question.....but I am a complete beginner in regards to property and real estate so please excuse my ignorance.
When a house is placed on sale and I view the house along with considering buying it, can I undertake a valuation before making an offer? Obviously most sellers usually put high prices because they know that sellers will always negotiate to reduce the price. In order to find out how much reduction I can negotiate I obviously need to undertake a professional valuation.
If I view a property, then phone the buyer and ask to undertake a valuation, will he normally allow this? Or will he only allow a valuation once an offer has been formally made?
Thanks
I am based in the UK.....

moreResolved Question: Property Expos......have they gone too far ?
Israeli companies are using UK property shows to sell housing in illegal Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank, Guardian Unlimited can reveal.
At the Israel Property Exhibition at Brent town hall, North London last Sunday, one company, Anglo-Saxon Real Estate, was offering for sale properties in Maale Adumim and Maccabim. Both West Bank settlements lie on the Palestinian side of the so-called green line, the pre-1967 boundary and often cited as the border between Israel and a future Palestinian state.
The apathetic amounst you are saying so what i would want to move there anyway, spain is better, BUT these settlements are ILLEGAL and the UN has warned israel many times not to expand these, but obviously it doesnt give a sh*t. Isnt it time for a UN force to go into Israel and stop these illegal settlements from expanding. Must we wait another 60 years ?

moreResolved Question: The perfect husband?
There are several men sitting around in the locker room of a private club after exercising. Suddenly a cell phone on one of the benches rings. One of the men picks it up, and the following conversation ensues:
"Hello?"
"Honey, it's me. Are you at the club?"
"Yes."
"Great! I am at the mall two blocks from where you are. I just saw a beautiful mink coat. It's absolutely gorgeous!! Can I buy it?"
"What's the price?"
"Only $1,500.00."
"Well, OK, go ahead and get it, if you like it that much ... "
"Ahhh, and I also stopped by the Mercedes dealership and saw the 2001 models. I saw one I really liked. I spoke with the salesman, and he gave me a really good price ... and since we need to exchange the BMW that we bought last year ... "
"What price did he quote you?"
"Only $60,000 ... "
"OK, but for that price I want it with all the options."
"Great! But before we hang up, something else ... "
"What?"
"It might look like a lot, but I was reconciling your bank account and I stopped by the real estate agent this morning and saw the house we had looked at last year. It's on sale!! Remember? The one with a pool, English Garden, acre of park area, beachfront property ... "
"How much are they asking?"
"Only $450,000 - a magnificent price ... and I see that we have that much in the bank to cover ... "
"Well, then go ahead and buy it, but just bid $420,000. OK?"
"OK, sweetie ... Thanks! I'll see you later!! I love you!!!"
"Bye ... I do too ... "
The man hangs up, closes the phone's flap, and raises his hand while holding the phone and asks to all those present: "Does anyone know who this phone belongs to?
moreResolved Question: Where can i find "nothing down" real estate deals in london?
In the London area i am looking for investment real estate for sale by investors, or landlords not by owner-occupiers. I am not a speculator looking for "buy to let" investments. I am not looking for "off plan". I am looking for a professional real estate investment broker, someone who works exclusively with investors or to be put on a list where i can be informed of properties for sale by investors which i would be able to buy. Thanks in advance.
